Donald Trump pide frenar victoria electoral de Joe Biden
Trump anunció que caminará junto a sus seguidores hacia el Capitolio para exigir que senadores “hagan lo correcto”.
El presidente de Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, pidió al vicepresidente Mike Pence que rechace la confirmación de la victoria electoral de Joe Biden en la sesión de certificación en el Congreso, ante miles de simpatizantes congregados cerca de la Casa Blanca.
Ante los aplausos de sus partidarios, quienes minutos antes habían protestado contra la sesión del Congreso, Trump dijo que espera que Pence haga lo correcto, y que si hace lo correcto, recuperará la presidencia de Estados Unidos.
Durante su mensaje, el presidente estadounidense insistió en que las elecciones de noviembre pasado tenía la ventaja por miles de millones de votos y que de pronto en la noche Biden avanzó de manera inexplicable y la calificó como una elección corrupta.

Antes de que Trump tomara la palabra, uno de sus hijos, Eric Trump, caldeó a los simpatizantes con teorías de conspiración infundadas a la multitud que agitaba banderas.
“¿Hay alguna persona aquí que realmente piense que Joe Biden ganó estas elecciones?”, le preguntó Eric Trump a los manifestantes, que respondieron a los gritos de “¡No!”.
Todos los estados han certificado que el demócrata Biden ganó las elecciones por 306 votos del colegio electoral frente a los 232 de Trump. Los desafíos legales de Trump al triunfo de Biden han fracasado en los tribunales de todo el país.
“No importa”, dijo Eric Trump. “Pueden mentir, pueden engañar, pueden robar. Mi padre ha iniciado un movimiento y este movimiento nunca, jamás, morirá”.
El Congreso tiene previsto certificar la victoria de Biden el miércoles. Muchos de los compañeros republicanos de Trump han prometido un esfuerzo de obstrucción que podría extender los procedimientos más allá de la medianoche, pero es casi seguro que fracasará.
La policía de Washington expulsó de la ciudad a Enrique Tarrio, líder del grupo de extrema derecha Proud Boys, que apoya a Trump, tras ser arrestado el lunes por destrucción de propiedad y posesión de una revista de armas de fuego. Tarrio no pudo ser contactado de inmediato para hacer comentarios.
