Acusan a rapero estadounidense de comprar un Ferrari con dineros de ayuda estatal por el COVID-19
Diamond «Blue» Smith es acusado de obtener casi 421mil millones de colones de manera fraudulenta a través de programas de ayuda para empresas afectadas por la pandemia.
En Miami, Estados Unidos, un rapero es acusado de comprar un Ferrari de 96 mil dólares (más de 76 millones de pesos) con dineros obtenidos fraudulentamente a través de un programa de ayuda para microempresas que fueron afectadas por la pandemia del COVID-19.
Según detalla el Miami Herald, se trata de Diamond Blue Smith, quien junto al propietario de una compañía de grúas en Pensilvania, han sido acusados por su presunta participación en un plan irregular para solicitar préstamos por 24 millones de dólares (14,304 millones de colones).
Estos dineros están destinados a un programa económico para ir en ayuda de pequeñas empresas que han sido afectadas por la pandemia.
Ambos acusados fueron detenidos durante la semana y enfrentan cargos federales por fraude electrónico, fraude bancario y conspiración, señala el Departamento de Justicia de Estados Unidos.

Desde la fiscalía acusan que Smith, obtuvo 427 mil dólares en un préstamo a través de su compañía Throwbackjersey.com, falsificando documentos para poder acceder a las ayudas estatales. Además, el rapero habría obtenido otro préstamo por 708 mil dólares a través de otra compañía, Blue Star Records, por lo que habría obtenido de manera irregular, más de un millón de dólares. Todo eso suma alrededor de 421 mil millones de colones.
