Mujer da a luz en hospital de Heredia, le perforan la vejiga y muere
Esposo de la víctima no descarta que haya existido mala praxis tras realizarle la cesárea.
Una mujer falleció, de manera repentina, tan solo seis días después de dar a luz a su bebé en el Hospital San Vicente de Paul (HSVP), en Heredia.
La víctima mortal respondía al nombre de Ariana María Fernández Aguilar, de 37 años de edad, vecina de Sarapiquí.
Dehivi Orozco Quesada, pareja sentimental de Ariana, contó a diario La Teja que el embarazo transcurrió de forma tranquila. El 26 de julio anterior la mujer fue internada en el centro médico herediano y un día después le realizaron la cesárea que tenía programada.
En esa misma operación le practicaron la salpingectomía (procedimiento para no tener más hijos), pero algo salió mal y a partir de ese momento el estado de salud de Ariana comentó a deteriorarse y días después perdió la vida.
En medio del dolor Dehivi junto a sus dos hijas, de 19 y 11 años, cuidan de la pequeña Nasly al mismo tiempo que exige a las autoridades de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) y al Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) realizar una investigación sobre las causas que mediaron en el fallecimiento de Ariana.
Orozco no descarta que haya existido mala praxis tras luego de realizarle la cesárea.
“Nos cambió la vida de un momento a otro, estábamos tan felices por la llegada de la nueva bebé, mis hijas mayores, mis papás, mis suegros y por supuesto, Ariana y yo, todos estábamos llenos de emoción por volver a chinear”, comentó el Dehivi quien se desempeña como policía.
“Fue un embarazo sano, no hubo ningún tipo de complicaciones, le programaron cesárea porque como los otros partos también habían sido por cesárea, los médicos dijeron que era lo mejor”, agregó.
Imperdonable “accidente”
El día que Ariana fue intervenida quirúrgicamente, Dehivi, pidió permiso en su trabajo para poder acompañarla porque quería estar presente en la cesárea, pero no lo dejaron ingresar por lo que esperó en una sala contigua al quirófano.
A las 11 a.m. lo llevaron a conocer a la pequeña Nasly Dariana, el orgulloso padre quedó maravillado con la pequeña, sin embargo, lo inquietó que pasaban los minutos y su esposa no llegaba a la habitación. Así que decidió preguntarle a una enfermera que le indicó que hubo un atraso en la operación y que un doctor le iba a explicar con más detalle lo que ocurrió.
Su sorpresa fue mayor cuando vio entrar a su pareja con una manguera conectada a una bolsa.
“En eso llegó el doctor y le pregunté por qué mi esposa tenía eso y me dijo que es que había pasado un accidente y en la operación le habían picado la vejiga, entonces habían tenido que ponerle un dreno cerca del ombligo y una bolsa para que saliera por ahí la sangre y la orina que tenía mientras la vejiga cicatrizaba.
“Yo le dije que un accidente es otra cosa, como que a un carro le cayera un derrumbe, por ejemplo, pero que a mi esposa le dañaran la vejiga durante la operación era, a mi criterio, una mala praxis y falta al deber de cuidado. Él me dijo que esos accidentes eran comunes y que mi esposa iba a tener que tener esa bolsa como un mes”, relató Orozco a La Teja.
Mientras Ariana se encontraba internada en el centro médico, su hija mayor, Anyerlei, llegaba al hospital a cuidarla a ella y a la bebé. Un día notó que en la bolsita de la orina no había nada de líquido. Así que decidió avisarle a una enfermera.
“Ella cerró las cortinas y empezó a revisar a mi mamá y se dio cuenta de que la manguerita estaba mal puesta, entonces se la quitó y empezó a buscar una sonda de tres vías”, contó la joven.
“Después llegó un doctor y preguntó que qué era lo que le estaban haciendo a mi mamá y regañó a la enfermera porque le dijo que eso no se hacía así. La subió en una silla de ruedas y se la llevó para otro lado y cuando la trajeron de vuelta ya tenía orina en la bolsita”, agregó.
De vuelta a casa
El sábado 30 de julio los médicos del HSVP le dieron la salida a la bebita y a Ariana.
Cuando Dehivi llegó por ellas para llevarlas a casa, en Río Frío de Sarapiquí, se sorprendió al ver a su esposa caminando y sin el drenaje y sin la bolsa.
“Le pregunté a mi hija mayor por qué Ariana no venía en silla de ruedas y me dijo que no le habían querido prestar una, le dijeron que ya ella estaba bien y podía caminar”, dijo Orozco.
El lunes 1 de agosto Ariana presentó un sangrado, Dehivi le preguntó si quería ir al hospital, pero ella le dijo que no, que a lo mejor era algo normal por el nacimiento de la bebé.
Pasaron los días hasta que el 3 de agosto el estado de salud de Ariana se agravó.
“Empezó a sentir un dolor en el pecho y nos preocupamos mucho, luego me dijo que no veía nada y llamé al 9-1-1 y estuve hablando por teléfono como por diez o quince minutos, me comunicaron con una doctora y le expliqué lo que estaba pasando.
“Mi esposa empezó a convulsionar y en el 9-1-1 me decían que tenía que esperar a que llegara la ambulancia que venía de Guápiles, pero no había tiempo, mi papá me ayudó a subirla al carro y la llevamos a emergencias de la clínica de Río Frío y ahí ya ella iba muy mal. Los funcionarios de la clínica le hicieron maniobras de resucitación y casi de inmediato la mandaron en una ambulancia para el hospital de Guápiles, yo me fui en mi carro detrás ”, contó el policía.
Mientras Dehivi, su padre y su suegra esperaban mientras atendían a Ariana, llegó un agente del OIJ. En ese momento supo que su esposa había partido.
“Le dio un paro cardiorrespiratorio y no la pudieron sacar de él. Un médico me dijo que, aparentemente, pudo haber sido que algún coágulo se desprendió y se le atoró en el corazón, eso pudo ser lo que le ocasionó la muerte”, manifestó Dehivi.
Exige justicia
El mismo día que falleció su compañera de vida, el oficial visitó las oficinas del OIJ en Guápiles para presentar la denuncia. Dehivi considera que el personal del hospital de Heredia pudo hacer más para evitar la muerte de su amada.
En el lugar le recibieron la denuncia y le dijeron que tenía que adjuntar luego el informe de la autopsia; sin embargo, todavía el resultado no está listo pese a que ya pasaron dos meses del deceso.
“Saber que mi bebé va a crecer sin la mamá es muy duro, yo quiero que se aclare toda esta situación y que se sienten las responsabilidades porque la vida es lo más sagrado que hay”, finalizó Dehivi.
