“La poza maldita me quitó a mi hijo”, asegura padre de niño ahogado en Desamparados
El pequeño Dennis López cayó al río Jorco y fue arrastrado por la corriente cuando se bañaba en una poza.
Una poza ubicada en el río Jorco, en El Huaso de Desamparados, tiene un nuevo nombre desde este miércoles.Don Axel Somarribas la bautizó como la poza maldita pues en sus aguas perdió la vida su hijo Dennis López Ramírez, de solo 11 años.
La tragedia que enlutó a Desamparados se registró la tarde del martes anterior. El pequeño estaba jugando fútbol junto con otro niño, en un momento determinado decidieron ir a refrescarse en la mencionada poza y fueron sorprendidos por una cabeza de agua que los arrastró a los dos.
Pero Dennis no corrió con la misma suerte, pues la corriente lo arrastró 5 kilómetros hasta Calle Fallas de Desamparados, donde la mañana de este miércoles su cuerpo fue encontrado por los rescatistas.
Apenas se supo la noticia de la desaparición de Dennis, don Axel buscó a su pequeño incansablemente, incluso sufrió una fractura en su pierna derecha en el operativo de búsqueda. Asegura que nunca perdió la fe de que su amado hijo estuviera con vida.
Somarribas, quien se desempeña como guarda de seguridad, contó que minutos antes de la tragedia Dennis y su amigo estuvieron jugando fútbol en un terreno cercano a la poza, tras finalizar el partido decidieron ir a la poza.
“Hay una maldita poza aquí y el otro chiquito conocía la poza, entonces se fueron ahí y en lo que ellos se estaban bañando se les vino una crecida y se los llevó a los dos.
“El otro niño logró salir y dio aviso de lo que había pasado, apenas me di cuenta me tiré al río a buscarlo como loco, al rato los rescatistas llegaron a buscarlo por todo lado”, narró el padre.
Don Axel manifestó que su hijo nunca había visitado la poza, era la primera vez que el pequeño la visitaba, en cambio el otro menor sí la conocía.
Cayó la noche del martes y por la falta de luz los cuerpos de emergencia suspendieron la búsqueda, don Axel regresó a su casa pero no pudo conciliar el sueño pensando en su pequeño.
“La búsqueda se reanudó este miércoles a las siete de la mañana, pero los cruzrojistas no buscaron en este sector, ellos se fueron río abajo, nosotros sí buscamos aquí, porque hay muchas piedras, yo pensaba que podría estar prensado, pero no, estaba allá (Calle Fallas).
“No se cómo puede sonar, pero el hecho de haberlo hallado es algo que alivia un poquito el dolor, porque vamos a poder darle su sepulturita, hay otros casos donde no se hallan, y gracias a Dios en este no fue así”, dijo el papá del niño.
Dennis cursaba el cuarto grado en la escuela Edwin Porras Ulloa en calle Lajas, en El Huaso de Desamparados. Don Axel lo recuerda como un niño con un corazón gigante.
“Lo recuerdo como un niño alegre, necio en el aspecto de andar bromeando con la mamá, con la hermana y conmigo, y no lo digo porque esté muerto, sino porque así era, le gustaba jugar y hacer sus travesuras, como a todo niño”, finalizó don Axel.
