“Hace unos días lloraba de tristeza, hoy de alegría”: padre de tico que estuvo desaparecido en Egipto
Don Manuel Carvajal, de 74 años, lloró cuando escuchó la voz de su hijo.
Pablo Carvajal Ramírez, el profesor costarricense que se encontraba desaparecido en Egipto, apareció golpeado y muy asustado este sábado 28 de enero.
Tras varios días de no saber nada de Pablo, don Manuel Carvajal, de 74 años, no pudo contener las lágrimas al escuchar la voz de su hijo.
Así lo contó a diario La Teja Kattia Carvajal, hermana de Pablo, quien confirmó que su hermano se puso en contacto con la familia la tarde de este sábado por medio de un audio de WhatsApp.
“Mi padrecito ayer que lo escuchó por primera vez, después cinco días de no saber nada de él, se puso a llorar y llorar, porque eso es lo que quería, escuchar la voz de su hijo”, indicó Kattia.
“Hoy mi papá me decía: ‘Hace unos días lloraba de tristeza, pero hoy lloro de alegría de saber que mi hijo está a salvo”, agregó.
La hermana del profesor de inglés contó que tras pasar varios días llenos de angustia este sábado cerca de las 5:30 p.m. recibieron la buena noticia cuando Pablo se comunicó con ellos desde una estación de policía en El Cairo.
“Nos dimos cuenta la tarde de este sábado, él le puso un audio a mi hijo, lo que nos dijo fue que estaba bien y que estaba en la delegación policial; lo que no tenemos claro es si la policía lo encontró o si él llegó a la delegación”, detalló.
Kattia agregó que su hermano les indicó que se encuentra muy golpeado y asustado. Aún está por confirmarse si fue asaltado cuando salió del hotel donde se hospedaba pues, entre otras cosas, se quedó sin pasaporte.
Días de angustia
Pablo Carvajal Ramírez salió del país el pasado 24 de diciembre en compañía de dos amigos: Dennis Castro y Melvin Fallas, para conocer varios países. Estuvieron en España, Israel, Jordania y luego llegaron a Egipto.
En El Cairo, donde se hospedaron varios días en el Hotel Ambiance, visitaron varios sitios turísticos.
El lunes 23 de enero, Pablo, decidió salir a dar una vuelta por la ciudad, le envió un mensaje a sus amigos avisándoles que iba a salir, en el texto adjuntó el número del hotel Intercontinental City Star, donde iba a estar.
Las cámaras del hotel donde se encontraba lo captaron saliendo, pero se desconoce si llegó al otro punto al que se dirigía. Las horas pasaron y Pablo no regresó. No supieron nada más de él hasta este sábado.
Según indicó La Nación, Pablo, solo se ha comunicado dos veces con audios. El primero, se lo envió a su familia en Costa Rica, y la mañana de este domingo mandó un segundo audio a sus parientes en La Florida, Estados Unidos, que se habían unido al rastreo del docente.
“Ahora en la mañana le puso un mensaje a una prima que está en Florida. Le dijo que ya estaba mucho más tranquilo porque el guía lo había acompañado al hotel y ya se siente más seguro. Está traumatizado. Por dicha nos puso que se sentía más seguro. Esto nos tranquiliza”, comentó Kattia.
Pablo Carvajal Ramírez, de 42 años, labora como profesor de inglés en el Colegio Técnico Profesional Roberto Gamboa Valverde, en San Rafael Abajo de Desamparados. En mayo del 2022, se incorporó al Colegio de Abogados.
