Capturan en Upala a sospechoso de doble homicidio ocurrido en Nicaragua
El sujeto está vinculado al presunto asesinato de dos hombres a machetazos en el país vecino.
Oficiales de la Fuerza Pública capturaron la mañana de este lunes a un hombre sospechoso de un doble homicidio ocurrido en Nicaragua.
El sujeto, de apellido Suárez, de 26 años y de nacionalidad nicaragüense, fue detenido en Upala, Alajuela.
De acuerdo con el reporte policial, a las 3:30 a.m. ingresó una alerta vía sistema de emergencias 9-1-1, en la que se indicaba que en el sector fronterizo de Jomusa, distrito de San José de Upala, había una mujer herida de arma blanca la cual solicitaba ayuda.
Tras llegar al sitio, los oficiales localizaron a un ciudadano nicaragüense, el cual indicó que traía a su madre, una mujer de la misma nacionalidad de apellido Hernández, quien presentaba múltiples heridas de machete en varias partes del cuerpo.
De inmediato la mujer fue trasladada hasta un centro médico del norte del país, donde fue atendida.
La Fuerza Pública recibió información anónima según la cual el presunto responsable de la agresión contra la mujer era un sujeto de apellido Suárez, así como también el sospechoso de haber asesinado, en una comunidad nicaragüense denominada La Cucaracha, a otros dos hombres a los que presuntamente atacó con un machete.
Las autoridades también recibieron información acerca de que Suárez se dirigía a territorio costarricense, por lo cual se realizó un operativo en San José de Upala, el cual permitió interceptar, a las 7:05 a.m. un automóvil conducido por un costarricense en la entrada al Barrio La Unión.
A bordo del vehículo viajaba Suárez, quien fue aprehendido por haber ingresado a suelo costarricense de manera irregular, luego de lo cual el caso fue notificado a la Policía de Migración para establecer su condición migratoria.
Fue así como se logró determinar que el sujeto tenía vencida su cédula de residencia desde el 2016, por lo que su permanencia en suelo costarricense era irregular.
De momento la Fuerza Pública no cuenta con alguna denuncia o información oficial por parte de las autoridades nicaragüenses sobre los hechos que presuntamente cometió Suárez en su país.
El sujeto, no posee orden de captura en Costa Rica, pero sí cuenta con expediente por tentativa de homicidio.
Suárez está bajo custodia de la Fuerza Pública mientras la Fiscalía de Upala y las autoridades migratorias nacionales determinan qué tipo de diligencias se realizarán con respecto a él en las próximas horas.
