Sismo de magnitud 5,2 sacude Guanacaste
Según un reporte preliminar del Ovsicori el evento telúrico se originó a 1,4 kilómetros al suroeste de Veracruz de Santa Cruz.
Un sismo de magnitud 5,2 se dejó sentir la mañana de este lunes 23 de mayo.
El evento telúrico se produjo a las 11:34 a.m., con origen a 20 kilómetros al sur de Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, de acuerdo con un reporte preliminar del Servicio Sismológico Nacional Red Sismológica Nacional (RSN).
En tanto el Observatorio Vulcanológico y Sismológico de Costa Rica (Ovsicori) informó que el sismo tuvo una magnitud de 5,1 grados y localizó su epicentro 1,4 kilómetros al suroeste de Veracruz de Santa Cruz.
La entidad añadió que el movimiento telúrico se originó a una profundidad de 30,51 kilómetros.
Algunas comunidades del Valle Central como: San Antonio de Coronado, el Coyol de Alajuela y Sabanilla de Montes de Oca, en San José, reportaron haber sentido el sismo de forma leve.
Por el momento, las autoridades no reportan daños ocasionados por el movimiento.
