Sentencian a 35 años de cárcel a hombre que asesinó a su esposa en Guanacaste
La víctima presentaba 10 heridas ocasionadas con un arma blanca.
Quizás usted recuerda el femicidio que sacudió a la provincia de Guanacaste el 3 de marzo del 2022, debido a que una mujer identificada como María Fernanda Quesada Gutiérrez, murió en manos de quien era su esposo, quien también es padre de uno de los dos hijos de la fallecida.
A raíz de este asesinato, el hombre identificado con los apellidos Rovira Vargas fue sentenciado a 35 años y ocho meses de prisión, luego de que la Fiscalía Adjunta de Santa Cruz demostrara que este fue responsable de cometer los delitos de femicidio e incumplimiento de medidas de protección, en perjuicio de quien fue su esposa.
De acuerdo con la acusación contra el hombre,él y la víctima tuvieron una relación de matrimonio, desde abril del 2019, pero el imputado por una orden del Juzgado de Violencia Doméstica, sede Carrillo, tenía la prohibición de portar armas de fuego, agredir de cualquier forma a la víctima y a su familia, y tampoco podía acercarse a ella.
Sin embargo, según detalló la Fiscalía, el 03 de marzo del año anterior, entre las 8:00pm y las 9:30pm, la mujer se encontraba en su vivienda, esto en Santa Cruz de Guanacaste, cuando Rovira incumplió las medidas de protección y llegó a la casa.
En un determinado momento el imputado se abalanzó contra la mujer y la atacó con un cuchillo, hiriéndola en la cabeza y el dorso de su cuerpo, en al menos 10 ocasiones, mismas que le provocaron la muerte en el lugar de los hechos.
Posterior intentó huir del sitio a bordo de un carro, pero fue detenido a unos 30 kilómetros del lugar.
En cuanto a la sentencia impuesta contra Rovira, la familia de María Fernanda, se mostró agradecida debido a que consideran que se hizo justicia por la joven.
