Presidente Chaves responde a Ortega: “Costa Rica no es base de ningún grupo terrorista”
El mandatario de Nicaragua aseguró que desde territorio costarricense se financian grupos con el fin de crear caos en el país del norte.
El martes anterior durante un Congreso de la Juventud Sandinista, el presidente de Nicaragua, Daniel Ortega Saavedra, acusó a los opositores que se encuentran en el exilio de supuestamente promover acciones violentas durante el proceso electoral municipal, los que según él, estarían apoyados por los gobiernos de los Estados Unidos y la Unión Europea. De paso arremetió contra Costa Rica.
“Y eso que hicieron planes auspiciados por yanquis y gobiernos europeos cuyos embajadores se reúnen conspiran con terroristas para que promuevan violencia, terror. A pesar de esos millones que les invierten desde Costa Rica”, aseveró Ortega.
“Costa Rica es una base que tienen ahí, no lograron provocar hechos de violencia ¿por qué,? porque este pueblo está convencido que vale más, vale mucho más para progreso del país, un voto que una gota de sangre, vale más”, continuó el presidente nicaragüense.
Rodrigo Chaves responde
Ante las polémicas declaraciones, el presidente de la República, Rodrigo Chaves Robles, le respondió a Ortega.
“Costa Rica no es base de ningún grupo terrorista, el Gobierno de la República es absolutamente adherido a las normas de convivencia internacional. Nosotros no le estamos dando refugio a ningún terrorista y mucho menos para que ataque o planee ataques a ningún país vecino”, manifestó Chaves.
“Costa Rica quiere mantener sus relaciones cordiales con todos los países del mundo y continuaremos en esa línea como un ícono de paz, de estabilidad sin ejército, sin fuerzas armadas y un ejemplo brillante al mundo de como una democracia puede funcionar y debe funcionar”, agregó.
