Presidenta FEUCR: “Basta ya de transfobia pido respeto hacia mi identidad de género”
Alhana Chavarría reclamó que ha sido blanco de amenazas, comentarios de odio y discriminación desde que inició su mandato en la FEUCR.
Alhana Chavarría Montero, la primera mujer transgénero en presidir el directorio de la Federación de Estudiantes de la Universidad de Costa Rica (FEUCR) reclamó en su perfil de Twitter que ha sido víctima de burlas y hasta amenazas desde que inició su gestión
“Basta YA de transfobia. Desde que inicié mi presidencia he sido blanco de comentarios transfobicos, amenazas, comentarios de odio y de discriminación” indicó Chavarría.
“Todos los días recibo mensajes llenos de odio. Ya no más, pido respeto hacia mi identidad de género y mi vida. No más por favor”, agregó la joven estudiante de Sociología.
Alhana Chavarría hizo historia con su designación como presidenta de la FEUCR pues se convirtió en la primera mujer trans de Centroamérica y la segunda de Latinoamérica en alcanzar ese puesto en una federación de estudiantes.
