Malos hábitos de higiene que muchos no dejan
El virus afecta muchos países y las personas creen acatar correctamente las medidas de higiene, pero en la mayoría de los casos no es así.
En diferentes partes del mundo, se acostumbran hábitos de higiene incorrectos y los identificamos por las malas enseñanzas de familiares, amigos o porque simplemente se olvida de un momento a otro.
La enfermedad del Covid-19 ha generado que el mundo se diera cuenta, de lo necesario que es la higiene personal. El lavarse las manos, usar los protocolos correctos al momento de estornudar y toser. Sin embargo, existen factores importantes por mencionar, que se convirtieron en rutina.
¿Cuáles son los más frecuentes?
El uso del celular en el baño:
Desde que la tecnología dio su avance, los celulares han sido los dispositivos más importantes para el ser humano, pero lamentablemente existe una costumbre en la mayoría y es usarlo mientras están en el servicio sanitario.
Roxela Chacón, enfermera de la Clínica de Atenasmencionó lo siguiente
“El uso del celular en el baño está súper mal, primero porque el dispositivo móvil se toca en todo momento conlas manos sucias y la mayoría de las personas no lo desinfectan. Esto provoca bacterias y a final de cuentasgenera muchos tipos de virus”.
Las cantidades de bacterias que se originan en ese instante es demasiada y lo peor del caso, es terminar de hacer sus necesidades, lavarse las manos y volver a agarrarlo como si nada hubiese pasado. Esas manos fueron lavadas, pero al instante de tocar el dispositivo, todo el proceso se pierde, los gérmenes quedan en el móvil y terminará en todo lo que toques, incluso la comida.
Lo indicado es no entrar con el celular, pero si eres de esas personas que no puedes dejar de hacerlo, considere al menos limpiarlo con alcohol, para así evitar toda enfermedad.
Paño para secar manos:
Según la BBC, la Organización Nacional de la Salud(OMS) ha aconsejado limpiarse las manos de forma regular y exhaustiva.
No todos se han acostumbrado a la manera correcta de lavarse las manos, pero al parecer este virus ha ocasionado pánico y están tratando de cumplir las medidas. Pero hay un problema, en la mayoría de los hogares no cuentan con toallas y lo único que usan es un pañuelo. Esto no es incorrecto, pero se da la recomendación de utilizarlo solo una vez, por ejemplo, los costarricenses tiene la práctica de secarse las manos una y otra vez con el mismo paño, con el que se limpió toda la familia.
Un experto mencionó a New York Times que las toallas de tela funcionan bien para el uso personal, pero se deben lavar a menudo, especialmente si varias personas usan la misma.
“El paño es un problema por la humedad, siendo esto una causa de la proliferacion de bacterias debido a la continua manipulacion de muchas personas, que probablemente ni realizan el correcto protocolo”, agregó Chacón.
Escupir en la calle:
Si bien es cierto, el ser humano tiende a escupir en cualquier parte donde camine y esto es considerado de mala educación y además puede afectar la salud pública con una bacteria llamada tuberculosis. Igualmente, el nuevo virus, se transmite por gotículas respiratorias, esas pequeñas gotas expulsadas al reír, hablar, toser, estornudar y también escupir y al esparcirse por el aire, puede contagiar a cualquiera.
Según la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS):
“En cada mililitro de saliva viven unos 100 millones de bacterias, de las cuales han sido identificadas hasta ahora unas seis mil especies. Muchas de ellas tienen una función protectora, pero otras pueden perjudicar”.
Lo mejor es dejar la costumbre y más en este tiempo donde el contagio es masivo. Si debes hacerlo por alguna razón, ya sea por tos o flemas, lo recomendable es escupir en un pañuelo y botarlo al basurero.
A pesar de la baja de contagio en el país en los últimos meses, queda claro que la higiene personal se puede prevenir y es fundamental para evitar que las cifras sigan en aumento.
Siga los protocolos, no solo por el tiempo del coronavirus, sino para siempre. Estas rutinas deben desaparecer para proteger la salud.
