La denuncia por prevaricato que salpica a Daniel Salas y a Román Macaya
También a los miembros de la Comisión Nacional de Vacunación y Epidemiología.
La Fiscalía General de la República confirmó el ingreso de una denuncia penal por el delito de prevaricato contra el exministro de Salud, Daniel Salas y el expresidente ejecutivo de la Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social (CCSS), Román Macaya.
En la denuncia también se incluye a Leandra Abarca, coordinadora del Programa de Inmunización de la CCSS; Juan Manuel Villalobos, médico especialista en infectología del Hospital México; Hugo Marín, jefe del Área de Fármaco-Economía de la Caja, y el médico pediatra, Oscar Porras, quienes conforman la Comisión Nacional de Vacunación y Epidemiología (CNVE).

La denuncia se tramita bajo el número de expediente 22-000401-0619-PE y fue presentada este miércoles 3 de agosto ante la Fiscalía Adjunta de San José, el mismo día en el que el mandatario Rodrigo Chaves Robles solicitó a la ministra de Salud, Joselyn Chacón abrir una investigación sobre las compras masivas de vacunas contra la covid-19 y además acusó a Marín y a Porras de sesionar en la CNVE con sus nombramientos vencidos.
Por este motivo, Chaves, indicó que desde este miércoles la vacuna contra el covid-19 dejó de ser obligatoria, ya que asegura que los actos acordados por la comisión fueron inválidos en el momento que se vencieron los nombramientos.
De acuerdo con lo que establece el Código Penal, la pena de prisión por este delito es de dos a seis años de cárcel “al funcionario que dicte resoluciones contrarias a la ley o las funde en hechos falsos”.
