Joselyn Chacón en la mira del Colegio de Médicos: se abre investigación en su contra
Ante una posible violación a la Ley General sobre el VIH-SIDA.
La ministra de Salud, Joselyn Chacón Madrigal, está en la mira del Colegio de Médicos y Cirujanos de Costa Rica (CMC) tras una aparente violación a la Ley General sobre el VIH-SIDA.
La información fue confirmada por el colegio profesional al medio digital CRHoy.com.
“La Fiscalía del Colegio de Médicos y Cirujanos confirma la apertura de una investigación de oficio, asimismo, de la recepción de la denuncia interpuesta por un tercero”, indicó la entidad.
“Precisamente por haberse iniciado la investigación preliminar y estar el proceso abierto, no se puede emitir más criterios”, agregó el CMC.
Polémicas declaraciones
El jueves de la semana anterior la jerarca de Salud realizó unas polémicas declaraciones ante la Comisión de Derechos Humanos del Congreso.
Tras ser consultada sobre los casos de viruela del mono en Costa Rica, Chacón Madrigal manifestó lo siguiente: “Desgraciadamente, los casos que hemos tenido casi que a nivel mundial y a nivel país son personas con HIV (VIH por sus siglas en inglés), que están inmunosupresos y son los que se infectan. Por dicha, ninguno ha tenido una enfermedad severa, pero no sabemos en qué momento esto puede ocurrir”.
Por esas palabras, el abogado penalista y especialista en derechos humanos, Yashin Castrillo, interpuso una denuncia ante la Fiscalía del CMC.
Castrillo, aseguró a CRHoy.com que si bien la jerarca de Salud no brindó datos que permitan individualizar a la persona, es decir que no se brinden datos suficientes para saber de quién se habla, no se violaría la ley que protege la confidencialidad en relación con el VIH, pero cuestionó el hecho de que se vincule de forma directa a las personas homosexuales con los casos de Viruela del Mono, lo que puede crear una estigmatización.
