INS anuncia traslado de ₡1000 millones a la CNE para la adquisición de vacunas anticovid
Los recursos permitirán dar continuidad a la atención de la emergencia sanitaria provocada por la covid-19 y reforzar la aplicación de tercera dosis.
El Instituto Nacional de Seguros (INS), informó la noche de este miércoles que trasladará ₡1000 millones a la Comisión Nacional de Emergencias (CNE), para impulsar la compra de nuevas vacunas contra el virus SARS-CoV-2.
Según informó Presidencia, por medio de un comunicado de prensa, los fondos buscan dar continuidad a la atención de la emergencia sanitaria provocada por la covid 19, específicamente para la adquisición de las 3.500.000 vacunas acordadas con la casa farmacéutica Pfizer/BioNTech para el 2022, destinadas para inocular a niños de 5 a menos 12 años, y terceras dosis.
El anuncio lo realizó, el presidente de la República, Carlos Alvarado, durante el arribo del lote 64 de vacunas que finiquitó el contrato de compra 2021 con la casa farmacéutica Pfizer/BioNTech. Durante el acto se realizó la firma simbólica para el traslado del dinero entre el presidente ejecutivo del INS, Gabriel Pérez, y el presidente de la CNE, Alexander Solís, con el Mandatario de testigo de honor.
“La lucha contra el COVID-19 no ha cesado, continuamos protegiendo a nuestra población y que mejor manera de hacerlo que a través de la vacunación. La pandemia nos ha demostrado que el trabajo interinstitucional puede llevar a Costa Rica al futuro. Agradezco al INS el impulso que le ofrece a la campaña de vacunación, porque el 2022 será esperanzador”, afirmó el presidente Alvarado.
Casa Presidencial aseguró que este apoyo fue posible luego de que la semana anterior, la Junta Directiva del INS aprobó el traslado de los fondos, tras verificar que la aseguradora se encuentra facultada legalmente para realizar estas transferencias, según los parámetros establecidos en el Decreto de Emergencia 42227-MP-S del 16 de marzo de 2020, y que ésta no impacta la liquidez institucional.
“Las empresas públicas debemos estar al servicio de las personas, no debemos olvidar nunca nuestra función social, por eso hoy me llena de orgullo poder realizar este traslado de dinero al Fondo Nacional de Emergencias en nombre de todos los costarricenses, este dinero permitirá sin duda reforzar la aplicación de la tan esperada tercera dosis”, aseguró el presidente ejecutivo del INS, Gabriel Pérez.
