Denuncia caso de corrupción en la Municipalidad de Corredores y le rebajan el salario
Miguel Ángel Cubero es el principal testigo de la Fiscalía en el caso contra el alcalde de Corredores, Carlos Viales.
El maestro de obras Miguel Ángel Cubero Fallas nunca se imaginó que por atreverse a denunciar un caso de corrupción en la Municipalidad de Corredores, en Puntarenas, le reducirían su salario en un 74 %.
Según recoge una publicación del Semanario Universidad, Cubero Fallas, es el principal testigo de la Fiscalía en el caso contra el alcalde de Corredores, Carlos Viales.
Don Miguel Ángel contó al medio de la Universidad de Costa Rica (UCR) que en diciembre del año anterior recibía un monto mensual de ₡670.000, pero se llevó una desagradable sorpresa al ver que la primera quincena de febrero le llegaron solo ₡87.753, según consta en su comprobante de pago.
Cubero contó al medio que sus condiciones salariales siempre sufrían variaciones.
“Cuando yo entré a laborar a la Municipalidad en 2017 entré ganando ₡1.830.000. A los dos años me redujeron el salario con la promesa que iba a ser temporalmente mientras hacían un acomodo interno en la Municipalidad. Después de eso empezó lo del puente, empezó lo del acoso, empezaron a quitarme cargos, funciones, oficina, teléfono, gente, equipos, proyectos y me bajaron el salario a ₡670.000”, indicó el funcionario.
Esta quincena don Miguel Ángel vio cómo su salario sufrió una nueva variación, se lo redujeron a ₡87.753.
Presentar la denuncia por corrupción en el ayuntamiento de Corredores ha significado un dolor de cabeza para el maestro de obras pues en el mes de enero fue despedido, pero hace unos días el Juzgado Civil y de Trabajo del II Circuito Judicial de la Zona Zur anuló su despido y ordenó a la parte patronal que lo reinstalaran en su cargo y le pagaran los salarios que dejó de percibir durante el tiempo que se mantuvo fuera de sus labores.
El caso
Miguel Ángel Cubero Fallas es uno de los principales denunciantes en uno de los mayores casos de corrupción y de irregularidades en la Municipalidad de Corredores.
El alcalde Carlos Viales, padre del diputado liberacionista Gustavo Viales, fue detenido el pasado 14 de diciembre por miembros de la Fiscalía de Probidad, Transparencia y Anticorrupción de la Región Sur por el caso.
También resultaron detenidos el ingeniero jefe de la Unidad Técnica Vial y las Oficinas de Ingeniería y Urbanismo de la Municipalidad, Robert Fernández; y un docente del Ministerio de Educación Pública (MEP), apellidado Fernández Sancho.
Las tres personas son investigadas por el presunto delito de peculado y malversación de fondos públicos, por la construcción de un puente y un camino dentro de una propiedad privada, usando recursos y funcionarios municipales.
El puente construido en el 2020, se ubica en Río Bonito, camino a una planta embotelladora de agua, ubicada en una supuesta propiedad de Darwin González, quien está siendo investigado como líder de una agrupación aparentemente dedicada al tráfico internacional de drogas y la legitimación de capitales.
