Defensoría exige a Carlos Alvarado atender a la prensa sin intermediarios
Este mes el mandatario de la República cumplió un año de no atender personalmente a los medios de comunicación.
El presidente de la República, Carlos Alvarado, redujo la atención a los medios de comunicación desde el inicio de la pandemia en marzo del 2020. Precisamente este mes de junio cumplió un año de no atender a la prensa de manera personal.
Por eso la Defensoría de los Habitantes exhortó al mandatario a dar la cara y que atienda a la prensa sin intermediarios.
“Si la máxima autoridad política, que es el presidente de la República, no atiende a la prensa, de forma abierta y sin intermediarios; y, más bien restringe su acceso y declina la realización de toda entrevista o conferencia de prensa, el resto del funcionariado seguirá su ejemplo y así el país se volverá opaco respecto a la rendición de cuentas y la transparencia. Don Carlos Alvarado, como máximo jerarca, debe recobrar la fe del pueblo en sus instituciones, y en su Sistema Político. dando el mismo el ejemplo atendiendo al pueblo y respondiendo los cuestionamientos que a todas y todos nos asaltan”, agregó Crespo.
En agosto del 2020, la Defensoría de los Habitantes presentó una coadyuvancia a un recurso de amparo, interpuesto por periodistas que alegaron ante la Sala Constitucional una afectación por la inoperancia del Gobierno en la atención a cada medio de comunicación.
