Decomisan 898 kilos de cocaína que iba a ser exportados desde de APM Terminals a Bélgica
Los paquetes estaban encubiertos en cajas de plátanos.
A tan solo 48 horas después de que el Presidente de la República, Rodrigo Chaves Robles, dio inicio a la operación de colocación de los escáneres y toma de la Terminal de Contenedores de Moín (TCM) en Limón, el Ministerio de Seguridad Pública informó acerca del importante golpe que le dieron al narcotráfico.
Según informaron, lograron dar con la incautación de 898 kilogramos de cocaína en un contenedor con cajas de plátanos que se encontraba en la la terminal de APM Terminals y que iba con destino al puerto de Amberes, Bélgica.
“El ministro de Seguridad Pública, señor Mario Zamora Cordero, anunció el primer logro de la Operación Soberanía, con la incautación de 898 kilogramos de cocaína en un contenedor que se encontraba en la Terminal de Contenedores de Moín (TCM) en Limón, llevaba plátanos de exportación e iba con destino al puerto de Amberes, Bélgica”, detalló el Ministerio de Seguridad Pública.
Por su parte, el ministro Zamora explicó que se está realizando un trabajo permanente que está siendo desarrollado en la Operación Soberanía, donde trabajan en conjunto la Policía Control de Drogas, la Dirección de Inteligencia y Análisis Criminal, el Servicio Nacional de Guardacostas, el Servicio de Vigilancia Aérea, la Policía de Fronteras y la Fuerza Pública.
En cuanto a lo incautado fue detectado en labores de análisis y perfilamiento realizadas por Policía Control de Drogas (PCDCR).
“El contenedor sospechoso fue detectado en labores de análisis y perfilamiento realizadas por la PCDCR, razón por la cual fue enviado para ser escaneado como parte del procedimiento establecido, reflejándose alteraciones en las imágenes” agregó el Ministerio de Seguridad Pública.
La droga decomisada quedó en manos de las autoridades.
