CCSS prohíbe usar mascarillas de tela en hospitales y clínicas
Esto con el objetivo de prevenir contagios.
Adiós a las mascarillas de tela para acudir a los hospitales y clínicas de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS). La gerencia médica de la entidad tomó la decisión de prohibir el uso de este tipo de protectores en sus establecimientos sanitarios con el objetivo de prevenir contagios.
De acuerdo con el medio digital CRHoy.com, la directriz forma parte de un documento que indica los lineamientos para la reactivación del ingreso de visitantes y acompañantes de los pacientes en los centros de salud en el marco de la pandemia de la covid-19.
El oficio GM-18436-2021 fechado el 17 de diciembre anterior señala que: “no se permiten mascarillas de tela, ni mascarillas con válvula de exhalación”.
Las mascarillas que recomiendan las autoridades sanitarias para ingresar a los centros médicos son las de tipo quirúrgica, las descartables.
La CCSS recordó que si bien es cierto no se permite el ingreso a los establecimientos de salud con mascarillas de tela o con válvula de exhalación, el centro médico debe facilitar una mascarilla descartable.
“Toda persona visitante debe registrarse en el punto de ingreso y usar una mascarilla durante todo el tiempo que se prolongue su visita. Se debe indicar que traigan su propia mascarilla. En el caso de las personas que no cuenten con una mascarilla quirúrgica en buenas condiciones, excepcionalmente se debe facilitar una mascarilla a la persona visitante”, añade el documento.
La institución explicó: “Los objetivos de este documento son establecer las recomendaciones técnicas para controlar el rol de los visitantes en la transmisión de organismos en los establecimientos de salud de la CCSS y establecer las estrategias de prevención de infecciones asociadas a la atención de la salud que permitan proteger tanto a los pacientes, a los visitantes y a las personas trabajadoras de la salud”.
