Carlos Alvarado: “Lo esencial es dejar la casa ordenada en sus finanzas”
El mandatario hizo un recuento de los logros de su gobierno en los actos conmemorativos de la Batalla de Rivas.
El presidente de la República Carlos Alvarado participó por última vez en los actos conmemorativos de la Batalla de Rivas y el héroe nacional Juan Santamaría la mañana de este lunes en Alajuela.
En su intervención aseguró que durante su gobierno se defendieron los derechos humanos de todas las personas, además, indicó que le deja la casa ordenada en sus finanzas al presidente electo Rodrigo Chaves Robles.
“Lo esencial es dejar la casa ordenada en sus finanzas. Hay un avance importante en derechos humanos, en materia de ambiente, infraestructura y la protección del país en la pandemia. Han sido medidas duras”, dijo Alvarado.
En su discurso reconoció la labor de la actual Asamblea Legislativa al avanzar en leyes en favor de la mujer.
“Este Congreso ha sido muy valiente, ha aprobado más de 12 leyes en favor de los derechos de las mujeres. En este periodo se han defendido los derechos humanos de todas las personas como política de Estado como debe ser. Un 11 de abril así como en Rivas se dieron esas peleas importantes por la libertad nuestras peleas, si bien no involucran dichosamente armas, deben igual involucrar valor, coraje para hacer lo correcto y para entender que el progreso es una lucha humana una causa humana que siempre podemos pelear por estar mejor y tenemos que hacerlo”, indicó.
También Alvarado pidió luchar por una sociedad más igualitaria.
“Mientras no tengamos una sociedad igualitaria entre hombres y mujeres, con una misma representación política, con una misma paga por el mismo trabajo, con la misma cantidad y calidad de oportunidades; una sociedad sin violencia en que las mujeres puedan caminar tranquilas por las calles y los centros de trabajo… Mientras no tengamos eso, seguiremos sin contar con una libertad plena. Esa es una lucha vigente hoy”, acotó.
En la actividad Alvarado colocó una ofrenda floral ante el monumento al héroe nacional Juan Santamaría.
El mandatario realizó el tributo en compañía de Epsy Campbell Barr, primera vicepresidenta de la República; Steven González Cortés, ministro de Educación Pública; Sylvie Durán Salvatierra, ministra de Cultura y Juventud; Rodolfo Solano Quirós, ministro de Relaciones Exteriores y Culto; Michael Soto Rojas, ministro de Seguridad Pública; Sofía González, alcaldesa de Alajuela, y Leslye Bojorges, presidente del Concejo Municipal de Alajuela, entre otros asistentes. Además participaron congresistas como Carolina Hidalgo, Roberto Thompson y Erick Rodríguez.
