Vacunas para todos y el fin de la guerra: el papa y su pedido por Navidad
En su tradicional mensaje de Navidad, el sumo pontífice insistió en “la necesidad de fraternidad” en el mundo, en estos tiempos de pandemia.
En su mensaje por Navidad, el papa Francisco pidió a los gobiernos garantizar la vacuna para todos los ciudadanos, especialmente a los más vulnerables.
“En este tiempo de oscuridad e incertidumbre aparecen luces de esperanza como la de las vacunas, pero para que estas luces lleven esperanza al mundo entero tienen que estar a disposición de todos”, dijo Francisco.
“No podemos ponernos los primeros antes que los otros. No pueden las leyes de mercado y las patentes estar sobre la ley del amor y de la salud de la humanidad”, agregó este viernes 25 de diciembre.
El sumo pontífice pidió a los responsables de los Estados, a los organismos internacionales y a las empresas, “proponer la cooperación y no la competencia, y buscar una solución para todos. Vacunas para todos. Especialmente, para los más vulnerables y más necesitados del planeta”.
Este año debido a las medidas restrictivas por la pandemia y con una Italia confinada, el papa Francisco se pronunció en el interior de la basílica y no asomado desde el balcón de la logia central.
Comenzó afirmando que “en este momento de la historia, marcado por la crisis ecológica y por los graves desequilibrios económicos y sociales, agravados por la pandemia del coronavirus, necesitamos más que nunca la fraternidad”.
Francisco recordó en estos días de fiesta a “todos aquellos que no se dejan abrumar por las circunstancias adversas, sino que se esfuerzan por llevar esperanza, consuelo y ayuda, socorriendo a los que sufren y acompañando a los que están solos”.
El papa Francisco exigió “esperanza para el continente americano, particularmente afectado por el coronavirus, lo que ha exacerbado sus numerosos sufrimientos que lo oprimen, a menudo agravados por las consecuencias de la corrupción y el narcotráfico”.
Hizo referencia a Chile y reclamó que el niño Jesús “ayude a superar las recientes tensiones sociales” y rogó para que ponga fin “al sufrimiento del pueblo venezolano”.
Francisco terminó su mensaje instando a que, a pesar de la dificultades que se están viviendo, “que la Navidad sea para todos una oportunidad para redescubrir la familia como cuna de vida y de fe; un lugar de amor que acoge, de diálogo, de perdón, de solidaridad fraterna y de alegría compartida, fuente de paz para toda la humanidad”.
