Se electrocutaba con un ventilador y quisieron salvarla: tres muertos
Las víctimas fueron una mujer de 51 años, su hija de 24 y su yerno de 32.
La tragedia golpeó a una familia de Colonia Delicia, en el norte de la provincia Misiones, en Argentina. Una mujer, su hija y su yerno murieron a causa de una fuerte descarga eléctrica al tomar contacto con un ventilador de pie que ahora será peritado para establecer si presentaba alguna falla.
Las fuentes consultadas por el diario argentino El Clarín informaron que todo ocurrió en la calurosa tarde del sábado en una zona rural de Colonia Delicia.
Norma Beatriz Vergara (51) intentó poner en funcionamiento un ventilador en uno de los dormitorios de la casa. En esas circunstancias recibió una descarga eléctrica que no la despidió, sino que la dejó “pegada” al electrodoméstico.
Los gritos de la mujer alertaron a su hija, Marcela Schonholzer (24), quien intentó auxiliarla y corrió la misma suerte.
La tercera víctima fue identificada como Gustavo Ayala (32), esposo de Marcela. Ambos habían llegado apenas unas horas antes para visitar a Vergara, ya que viven en la localidad de Comandante Andresito, en el extremo nordeste de la provincia.
Los gritos de la familia alertaron a los vecinos, que llegaron a la vivienda en pocos segundos para saber qué estaba sucediendo.
Uno de ellos, Walter Pintos, es electricista y rápidamente advirtió la gravedad del hecho. En forma inmediata, con una pinza cortó los cables de ingreso de la energía eléctrica a la propiedad.
Las dos mujeres y el hombre fueron cargados en un vehículo particular y llevados de urgencia al hospital de la localidad, donde ingresaron sin signos vitales. Allí, los médicos realizaron sin éxito maniobras de reanimación de las víctimas.
Más tarde alertaron a la Policía, que inició una investigación y secuestró el ventilador que habría causado la tragedia.
La pareja fallecida tenía dos hijos pequeños que ahora están al cuidado de familiares. Al momento de ocurrir la fatal descarga, los chicos se hallaban en la parte posterior de la casa junto a su abuelo.
¿Cómo actuar en un caso así?
El Ministerio de Salud de Argentina, en su sitio web, dio una serie de recomendaciones de cómo actuar en estos casos:
Si la persona está cerca de líneas de alto voltaje, aléjese y llame a emergencias o a un médico.
Nunca intente manipular cables caídos o tocar a la persona afectada si está en contacto con lo que crea que produjo la descarga, ya que puede electrocutarse usted también.
Si la electrocución ocurrió en un lugar cerrado, fíjese si puede bajar la llave general de electricidad. No basta con que apague el equipo que produjo la descarga.
Si no puede cortar la electricidad y la persona sigue en contacto con la corriente, utilice un elemento de madera, plástico o goma (que lo aísla de la electricidad) para mover el cable o alejar a la persona del artefacto.
Nunca use un objeto de metal. No pise agua mientras lo hace; si puede, párese sobre una alfombra de goma o una pila de papeles (que no estén húmedos).
Una vez que logre alejar a la persona de la fuente de electricidad, llame a emergencias.
Ya lejos de la fuente de electricidad, fíjese si respira y si responde a sus palabras. Si no responde, no se mueve, no respira o respira mal, practiquele RCP.
Si respira y se desmaya, se pone pálida o se marea, recuestela en una zona seca y cómoda, coloquele los pies sobre un objeto alto (como el asiento de una silla) y cubrala con un abrigo.
Si está consciente, tranquilícela.
Permanezca junto a la persona hasta que llegue la emergencia médica.
Lo que no hay que hacer
Acercarse a menos de 6 metros si la persona se electrocutó con una línea de alta tensión hasta que se haya cortado la energía.
Poner sobre la quemadura hielo, manteca, ungüentos, medicamentos, algodón o vendas.
Mover a la persona electrocutada, a menos que haya riesgo de otro peligro (incendio o explosión).
