Un tribunal de Tailandia condenó este jueves 23 de marzo a dos años de prisión a un extrabajador de la embajada de Australia en Bangkok por haber instalado cámaras escondidas en los baños para mujeres en su antiguo lugar de trabajo.
Nayot Thamsongsana, de 39 años, fue declarado culpable de dos acusaciones de agresión sexual, indicó a la AFP un fiscal en Bangkok.
Este tailandés, que trabajaba en la embajada como técnico informático, fue arrestado en enero de 2022 y luego despedido.
El incidente estalló el año pasado, después de que alguien encontró en el suelo una tarjeta de memoria de las cámaras escondidas, según la cadena australiana ABC.
Sesenta mujeres ofrecieron su testimonio a la Policía durante la investigación, señaló esta televisión.
