Perra con un balazo en la cabeza fue hallada deambulando por las calles

Organizaciones protectoras de los animales reclamaron a la policía del condado de Miami Dade, Florida (Estados Unidos), que busque y capture a quien disparó en la cabeza a una perra que, pese al balazo, vagaba por las calles de una ciudad vecina a Miami hasta ser rescatada por un grupo de voluntarios que la llevaron a un hospital veterinario.
La foto de Miracle (Milagro), como la han llamado sus salvadores, está este lunes en lugares destacados de los medios locales acompañando declaraciones de activistas que piden justicia y actuar contra la violencia hacia los animales.
La perra, de unos dos años de edad, está en un hospital desde el domingo, un día después de que un grupo de voluntarios la encontrara en las calles de North Miami y la llevara a un refugio.
«Se podía ver claramente un balazo en la cabeza de la perra. Creo que es un milagro que haya sobrevivido», dijo Dana Marcus, la voluntaria de la organización iHeart Animal Rescue que la llevó al Hospital Veterinario Knowles.
Esa organización de protección de los animales ha abierto una colecta pública para pagar los cuidados que requiere Miracle, como ecografía, cirugía, análisis de sangre y posiblemente una resonancia magnética.
