Niñas de un colegio saltaron al vacío para escapar de un incendio: impactantes imágenes
El incendio, de origen aún desconocido, salió del internado y luego devastó los edificios de las escuelas primaria y secundaria. Más de 90 alumnas fueron hospitalizadas.
Varias decenas de alumnas resultaron heridas el pasado lunes al saltar de un techo para escapar a un incendio que devastó un liceo femenino en el sureste de la República Democrática del Congo (RDC), informaron fuentes locales.
Hacia las 09H00 locales un incendio se declaró en el liceo Mwanga, escuela católica de Kolwezi, en la provincia de Lualaba (región de Katanga), según testimonios recogidos por AFP.
El incendio, de origen aún desconocido, salió del internado y luego devastó los edificios de las escuelas primaria y secundaria.
Para escapar a este incendio las alumnas saltaron del techo del edificio, de una altura de «tres metros», dijo Prince Timothée, testigo que habló por teléfono desde Lubumbashi, capital económica del país. Varias de las alumnas «tuvieron fracturas», agregó.

En redes sociales, circulan impactantes imágenes del momento de la emergencia donde se ve a las niñas escapar de las llamas saltando desde gran altura.
Al menos 97 alumnas fueron hospitalizadas, entre ellas unas treinta con miembros fracturados en cuatro hospitales del lugar, indicó a la AFP un responsable del servicio de comunicación del gobierno provincial de Lualaba.
El funcionario añadió que no se registró ningún muerto.
