Multitudinarias protestas anti COVID-19 en Alemania y Francia amenazan la salud pública
Sin mascarillas, miles de activistas antivacunas, creyentes de la teoría de conspiración y simpatizantes de extrema derecha rechazan las medidas impuestas por sus Gobiernos para evitar la propagación del coronavirus.
Desde el comienzo de la pandemia, más de 24 millones de personas contrajeron la COVID-19 y 838.000 fallecieron. Pese a estas alarmantes cifras, los Gobiernos de Alemania y Francia se enfrentan a un problema social: las multitudinarias protestas contra las restricciones por el coronavirus que ponen en riesgo la salud pública.
El último sábado, la Policía de Berlín, en Alemania, tuvo que disolver una marcha en la que se calculaba la participación de unas 18.000 personas, quienes no usaban mascarillas ni respetaban el distanciamiento social.
Consignas como ‘’Resistencia’’ o ‘’somos el pueblo’’ fueron utilizadas por la extrema derecha, mientras que militantes antivacunas y creyentes de la teoría de conspiración entonaban el himno nacional.
Según la televisión pública ZDF, un 60% de los ciudadanos alemanes respalda las medidas impuestas por el Gobierno para evitar la propagación de la COVID-19, mientras que un 28 % cree que deberían reforzarse y un 10% las considera exageradas.
El alcalde de Berlín, Michael Müller resaltó el peligro que representan las grandes aglomeraciones en el aumento de casos por coronavirus. ‘’Los manifestantes se van, toman el transporte a casa, van al trabajo y se reúnen con sus familias. Y en todas partes durante estos contactos ponen en peligro a todos’’, sostuvo a la cadena estatal RBB.
Unas 300 personas sin mascarillas también protestaron el último viernes con pancartas bajo el lema ‘’Stop a la mentira y la corrupción’’, además de denunciar ‘’manipulación’’ del Gobierno en su intento por “meter miedo a la población” en París, Francia.
Fue la primera concentración de este tipo en Francia frente a multitudinarias protestas que se desencadenan en España, Alemania o Estados Unidos; sin embargo, decenas de policías colocaron multan a los que no utilizaban mascarillas y terminaron por bloquear la marcha que comenzó en la plaza de la Nación.
Lo cierto es que las autoridades en Alemania se ven con las manos atadas debido a que la Constitución consagra el derecho a manifestarse, excepto cuando las concentraciones se vuelven violentas, si los participantes llevan armas o si su rostro están cubiertos.
