Joven musulmana afirma que le pusieron ‘ISIS’ en vez de su nombre en su bebida de Starbucks
“Me sentí humillada, enfurecida y menospreciada”, manifestó la agraviada en una conferencia de prensa.
En Estados Unidos, una muchacha musulmana denunció que un trabajador de Starbucks le escribió ‘ISIS’, en vez de su nombre en la bebida que pidió.
La afectada, identificada como Aishah, señaló que se sintió horrorizada al ver el nombre del grupo terrorista islámico.
Además, la joven indicó que le dijo dos veces su nombre al trabajador de la compañía para que lo pueda escribir con claridad. Aishah también aseveró que cuando compró la bebida estuvo usando su hiyab.
Starbucks trató de solucionar este problema al regalarle 25 dólares y una bebida gratis, pero la mujer enfatizó que eso no es suficiente y expresó que el gerente del establecimiento debe ser despedido por la forma en cómo la trataron esa vez. “Me sentí humillada, enfurecida y menospreciada”, puntualizó.
El abogado de la afectada presentó una acusación por discriminación al Departamento de Derechos Humanos de Minnesota.
La empresa mandó un comunicando donde indicó: “Queremos que todos los que compran con nosotros se sientan bienvenidos, valorados y respetados. Prohibimos estrictamente la discriminación y el acoso de cualquier forma. Sentimos mucho la experiencia que pasó con la invitada en nuestra tienda y nos disculpamos de inmediato”.
