Un acuario en Berlín, capital de Alemania, que contenía alrededor de 1.500 peces exóticos de más de 80 especies estalló este viernes por la mañana.
El hecho exigió que alrededor de 100 bomberos acudieran al hotel Radisson Blue, ubicado en el centro de la ciudad, según indicaron los servicios de emergencia.

De acuerdo a la información difundida por medios locales, el estallido se produjo cerca de las 5 de la mañana. La explosión fue de tal magnitud que sismógrafos instalados en la zona captaron el enorme estruendo.
La fuga de agua posterior llegó hasta el tercer piso del complejo y destrozó todas las puertas y ventanas a su paso.
El hotel había reabierto sus puertas el pasado mes enero tras una extensa renovación de 12 meses que abarcó el rediseño de todas las habitaciones, un espacio de recepción y un nuevo diseño de vestíbulo, bar y restaurante, que era el que incluía el famoso AquaDom, consignó la agencia Europa Press.
El AquaDom era el acuario cilíndrico más grande del mundo. Las medidas eran 11 metros de diámetro, 25 metros de altura y contenía 900.000 litros de agua de mar.
