Helicóptero de bomberos se desploma y cae en departamento; hay 2 muertos
Un helicóptero cayó sobre un edificio de departamentos en Pompano Beach, Florida, Estados Unidos; las autoridades confirmaron la muerte de dos personas.
Un helicóptero de bomberos de Florida, en Estados Unidos (EU), se desplomó la mañana de este lunes en el área de la autopista North Dixie y el Boulevard Atlantic, y cayó en un edificio de departamentos, con un saldo de dos muertos.
La oficinal del Sheriff del condado Broward informó que la aeronave, que pertenece a dicha corporación, cayó a las 8:45 horas, tiempo local, después de que descendió lentamente, mientras humo negro salía de la cola del helicóptero.

Tres personas estaban dentro de la aeronave siniestrada, informó la Administración Federal de Aviación estadounidense (FAA, por sus siglas en inglés) a la agencia Reuters. Una persona dentro del aparato murió y otra más que estaba en tierra. Un vocero de la ciudad señaló a medios locales que los tripulantes del helicóptero sufrieron heridas que no ponen en riesgo su vida.

Murió un capitán de la oficina del Sherrif en el incidente
Gregory Tony, sheriff del condado Broward, señaló que Terryson Jackson, de 50 años de edad y capitán de dicha fuerza, falleció en el incidente. El oficial trabajó por más de 14 años en la oficina de Sheriff.
“Terryson era una celebridad. Era el mejor de nosotros, uno de los más brillantes. Bendecía su profesión dentro y afuera todos los días”, aseveró Tony en conferencia de prensa con medios locales.

La otra persona fallecida es una mujer que estaba en el interior del departamento cuando cayó la aeronave. Además, dos personas civiles, quienes acudieron a ayudar a los pasajeros siniestrados, también recibieron lesiones no graves. La zona está cerrada a la circulación.

El incidente será investigado por la FAA y por el Buró Nacional de Seguridad en el Transporte (NTSB) para averiguar las causas que derivaron en el desplome de dicho aparato.
