Brasil: Cientos de bolsonaristas asaltan las sedes del poder ejecutivo, legislativo y judicial
Cientos de seguidores del expresidente de Brasil, Jair Bolsonaro, reclaman una intervención militar para derrocar a Lula da Silva.
Brasil vive este domingo escenas que recuerdan a lo que ocurrió hace dos años en el Capitolio estadounidense. Cientos de seguidores del expresidente Jair Bolsonaro han asaltado las sedes de los poderes ejecutivo, legislativo y judicial de Brasil reclamando una intervención militar para derrocar a Lula da Silva, investido presidente del país el pasado 1 de enero tras ganar las elecciones del pasado octubre.
El grupo de bolsonaristas ha superado la barrera policial que protegía el Congreso y algunos de los manifestantes han conseguido acceder a su interior. Los extremistas, en su mayoría con camisetas amarillas y verdes y banderas de Brasil, también atacaron algunos vehículos de la Policía Legislativa, que brinda seguridad al Congreso, según informa la agencia EFE. Algunos se enfrentaron a los agentes con palos.
Además de al Congreso, numerosos bolsonaristas también han accedido al Supremo Tribunal Federal, que se encuentra en los alrededores de la llamada plaza de los Tres Poderes al igual que el Congreso. Según informa el diario brasileño O Globo, el Palacio del Planalto, donde está la oficina del presidente, ha sido también asaltado. Este igualmente se encuentra cerca de la plaza.
El paradero de Lula da Silva en el momento del asalto al Congreso
Este fin de semana Lula da Silva ha viajado a la ciudad de Araraquara, en Sao Paulo, para examinar los daños causados por las fuertes lluvias en la región, como él mismo indicó por Twitter. Allí se encontraba en el momento del asalto al Congreso de Brasil.
“Quien haya hecho esto será encontrado y castigado. La democracia garantiza el derecho a la libre expresión, pero también exige que las personas respeten las instituciones. No hay precedente en la historia del país de lo que hicieron hoy. Por eso deben ser castigados. Y descubriremos quiénes son los patrocinadores de los que han ido hoy a Brasilia, y todos pagarán con la fuerza de la ley”, ha asegurado Lula da Silva en una rueda de prensa desde Araraquara, que ha ofrecido visiblemente emocionado. Ante el caos ocasionado por los seguidores de Bolsonaro, decretó la intervención federal en el área de la seguridad de Brasilia.
“Aprovecharon el silencio del domingo, cuando todavía estamos formando el gobierno, para hacer lo que hicieron. Y sabes que hay varios discursos del expresidente alentando eso. Y esa es también su responsabilidad y la de los partidos que lo apoyaron”, prosiguió el presidente brasileño.
La periodista brasileña Cristina Tardáguila, directora de Programas del International Center of Journalists (ICFJ) y fundadora de la Agência Lupa, señala al medio español a Newtral.es que es un error “imaginar que esos criminales se equivocan al tomar el Congreso un domingo. Será extremadamente difícil quitarlos de allí. También es un error llamarles manifestantes. Son golpistas antidemocráticos”. Tardáguila también recuerda que Bolsonaro sigue sin reconocer la victoria de Lula en las elecciones y que incluso en sus perfiles de redes sociales sigue denominándose presidente de Brasil.
Cómo se ha organizado el asalto a estas sedes
Los grupos de WhatsApp habrían jugado un papel clave a la hora de organizar el asalto al Congreso, al Supremo y al Planalto en Brasil, según informa la Agência Lupa. A través de esta plataforma de mensajería, se habrían estado dando instrucciones al menos desde el 5 de enero para ir “a la explanada” donde se ubican las sedes de estos tres poderes. Además, en estos mensajes se habría dado la orden de “no salir del Congreso”.
“Llevar equipo como cascos, guantes, chalecos, máscara de gas y gafas de natación contra el efecto de los gases”, dice uno de los textos que se difundió por WhatsApp, según Lupa. Esta agencia cita los datos recopilados de 17.000 grupos de WhatsApp por parte de la compañía de ingeniería y ciencia de datos Palver.
