Ataque de perro provocó la muerte de niño de 3 años
Una persona que intentó salvar al pequeño del ataque del perro resultó con lesiones en los brazos. El menor falleció en el lugar de los hechos debido a la gravedad de las mordeduras.
Un niño de aproximadamente 3 años falleció en la capital ecuatoriana, Quito, tras el ataque de un perro, según la Unidad de Bienestar Animal (UBA) del Municipio.
En un comunicado sobre el hecho ocurrido el sábado, la (UBA) señaló que «extiende sus condolencias ante el sensible fallecimiento de un menor tras sufrir el ataque de un canino. Nuestra solidaridad en estos momentos de dolor con la familia».
Añadió que ante el lamentable suceso reportado por el Servicio Integrado de Seguridad (ECU 911), acudieron al sector de San Juan de Calderón, para atender el caso en el marco de sus competencias.
En el lugar se encontraban el Cuerpo de Bomberos del Distrito Metropolitano de Quito, la Agencia Metropolitana de Control y la Policía Nacional
Los médicos veterinarios inspectores de la UBA «verificaron la presencia de dos caninos, una hembra en celo y un macho que no se encontraban esterilizados», indicó.
Apuntó que los perros fueron retirados como medida provisional de protección y trasladados a uno de los Centros de Atención Veterinaria, Rescate y Acogida Temporal de la UBA, para su evaluación etológica e informe respectivo.
«La otra persona herida tenía laceraciones en brazos», informó el capitán Cristian Naverrete, del Cuerpo de Bomberos de Quito, según Ecuavisa .
«Desde la Unidad de Bienestar Animal en reiteradas ocasiones hemos informado y exhortado a la ciudadanía sobre la importancia de la tenencia responsable de animales y en especial de raza grande y fuerte para precautelar el bienestar animal y humano», finaliza el escrito.
