Accidente mortal: mueren 19 niños que viajaban en micro escolar tras chocarse contra camión
El pasado 16 de septiembre, 21 personas fallecieron en total. Los menores tenían edades comprendidas entre los 5 y los 12 años, y eran acompañados por 3 adultos que también perdieron la vida en Sudáfrica.
Al menos 16 niños murieron en un accidente automovilístico que ha dejado dolor y desolación en Sudáfrica. Un micro escolar chocó de frente contra un camión que llevaba carga el pasado viernes 16 de septiembre, a unos 300 kilómetros al norte de Durban, en el área de Pongola.
El Ministerio de Transporte de la provincia de KwaZulu-Natal informó que dieciséis niños y tres adultos perdieron la vida en el trágico accidente que ha conmocionado al país entero. “La muerte de tantas vidas jóvenes es una tragedia grave”, sostuvo Shipo Hlomuka, responsable de la oficina de Transporte, Seguridad Comunitaria.
Accidente mortal en Sudáfrica
“Estamos profundamente conmovidos por este fatal accidente. Hemos enviado nuestro equipo forense para investigar la causa de este accidente. Estamos haciendo un llamado al uso responsable de los caminos en la provincia para terminar con la oleada de choque y fatalidades”, agregó.
Entre los fallecidos se encuentran dieciséis niños que bordean los 5 y 12 años, sumado a los tres adultos que viajaban en el micro escolar, indicó la agencia AFP.
Las carreteras de Sudáfrica se encuentran entre las más desarrolladas del continente, pero la seguridad sigue siendo un problema. La mayoría de los accidentes se atribuyen a la conducción imprudente.
Aumenta número de víctimas
Este domingo 18 de setiembre, diversos medios informaron sobre un aumento en el número de muertes del fatal accidente en Sudáfrica. En total, 19 niños fallecieron, lo que suma un total de 21 víctimas morales.
