33 personas fallecieron en aparatoso accidente de tránsito cuando viajaban desde Panamá hacia Costa Rica
El destino final de los ocupantes del bus era Estados Unidos.
Un lamentable accidente de tránsito ocurrió la madrugada de este miércoles en una carretera de Panamá, donde un 33 personas perdieron la vida, luego del choque entre un autobús lleno de migrantes que venían hacia Costa Rica y que tenían como destino final los Estados Unidos contra un minibús, según informó la directora nacional de Migración, Samira Gozaine.
“Tenemos información de 33 personas fallecidas en este momento”, dijo Gozaine al canal Telemetro.
Por su parte el presidente panameño, Laurentino Cortizo, previamente había ofrecido un balance preliminar de 15 muertos, pero la cifra fue ratificada por Samira.
De acuerdo a la información suministrada a periodistas por el jefe de operaciones de tránsito de la policía, comisionado Emiliano Otero, en el bus viajaban 66 personas, incluidos el chofer y el ayudante.
Sin embargo, trascendió que varios heridos fueron trasladados en ambulancias al hospital de la ciudad de David, cabecera de la provincia de Chiriquí, según indicaron los medios locales.
