¡Qué orgullo! Sherman Güity es subcampeón mundial de Paratletismo
El nacional se dejó la medalla de plata en la final que se disputó este miércoles 12 de julio.
Este miércoles pasadas las 12 del mediodía el velocista costarricense Sherman Güity, se coronó como subcampeón mundial, tras ganar la medalla de plata, en los 100 metros planos del Mundial de Paratletismo que se realiza en París, Francia.
El tico logró subirse al podio tras cruzar la meta de segundo con un tiempo de 10.79.
En cuanto al primer lugar, fue conseguido por el considerado “el favorito para la prueba”, Maxcel Amo Manu, de Italia, quien se llevó el oro al hacer 10.71.
Con respecto a nuestro representante, llegó a la final tras ganar su heat eliminatorio este martes 11 de julio, donde registró una marca de 10:69.
Sin duda que el paratleta de 26 años, sigue cosechando éxitos en su carrera, ya que cabe recordar que para los pasados Juegos Paralímpicos Tokio 2020, ganó una medalla de oro en los 200 metros planos con tiempo de 21.73 y la presea de plata en los 100 metros planos con tiempo de 10.78.
En cuanto a este nuevo logró obtenido por Sherman, la premiación se realizará este jueves 13 de julio a las 5:18am hora tica.
Mientras que el próximo lunes 17 de julio, Güity disputará la final directa de los 200 metros planos a las 10:16am hora nacional.
