¡Orgullo costarricense! Sherman Güity clasificó a la final del Mundial de Para Atletismo
Güity obtuvo su clasificación a la final este martes tras finalizar su heat eliminatorio en el primer puesto.
Una vez más el velocista costarricense Sherman Güity, dejó el nombre de Costa Rica muy en alto, luego de que este martes 11 de julio logrará clasificar a la final de los 100 metros planos T64 del Campeonato Mundial de Para Atletismo que se realiza en París, Francia.
El representante nacional obtuvo su clasificación tras finalizar su heat eliminatorio en el primer puesto con tiempo de 10.69.
Según informó el Instituto Costarricense del Deporte y la Recreación (Icoder) en un comunicado, la final se disputará este miércoles 12 de julio a las 12:07 mediodía (hora tica), en el Estadio Charlety.
“En la sumatoria de los dos heats para definir los ocho finalistas, el crono del tico fue el segundo mejor, solo por debajo del italiano Maxcel Amo Manu, que se impuso en su competencia con 10.64”, detalló el Icoder.

Por su parte, Sherman asegura estar tranquilo y mentalizado en su objetivo.
“Vamos paso a paso. Serán dos competencias importantes, el heat del martes y la final del miércoles. Estoy tranquilo, mentalizado en hacer bien las cosas para ir en busca del pódium”, expresó el velocista.
El éxito de Güity en el Grand Prix de World Para Athletics, se une a muchos de sus otros logros que ha obtenido como la medalla de oro en los 200 metros planos con tiempo de 21.73 y la presea de plata en los 100 metros planos con 10.78, esto en los pasados Juegos Paralímpicos Tokio 2020.
