Mundial Femenino Sub-20: España es campeona del mundo
La selección de España se coronó campeona del mundo tras derrotar a Japón en la final del Mundial Femenino Sub-20 que se disputó en Costa Rica.
España logró su primer campeonato mundial en la categoría sub-20 femenina tras derrotar a Japón 3-1 en la final del Mundial Femenino Sub-20 que se disputó en el Estadio Nacional de Costa Rica.
Las españolas abrieron el marcador desde los primeros minutos con anotación de Inma Gabarro 12’ y Salma Paralluelo 22’, 27’.
Con esta anotación Gabarro se convirtió en la anotadora del certamen con 8 goles incluyendo un hat-trick en la fase de grupos.
Por las niponas descontó Suzu Amano al 47’.
Japón llegó a la final tras clasificar de primero en el grupo D con 9 puntos, en cuartos de final dejaron en el camino a Francia en penales 5-3 tras un empate 3-3 en el tiempo regular y en semifinales dejaron a Brasil 2-1.
Las campeonas clasificaron primeras en el grupo A con 7 puntos, en cuartos de final derrotaron a México 1-0 y en semifinales a Países Bajos 2-1.
De acuerdo con reportes de la FIFA, 29.891 aficionados asistieron esta noche al Estadio Nacional a presenciar el encuentro entre niponas y españolas.
El tercer lugar de Mundial Sub-20 Costa Rica 2022 fue para Brasil.
