Conozca a Stéphanie Frappart: la árbitra que estará a cargo del juego entre Costa Rica y Alemania
Por primera vez en la historia de las Copas del Mundo una mujer será réferi central de un partido.
La francesa Stéphanie Frappart hará historia de nuevo. Será la primera mujer en dirigir como árbitra principal un partido de una fase final de un Mundial masculino este jueves. Pitará en el encuentro entre Costa Rica y Alemania de la tercera y última jornada del Grupo E.
La FIFA confirmó que Frappart, de 38 años, será la encargada de arbitrar el duelo entre germanos y costarricenses, en la que le acompañarán como asistentes la brasileña Neuza Back y la mexicana Karen Díaz. Será un día histórico con un trío femenino de árbitras.
Frappart, una mujer de récord
Hasta ahora ninguna de las tres colegiadas que han viajado a Qatar, Frappart, la japonesa Yoshimi Yamashita y la Salima Mukasanga, habían sido seleccionadas como árbitras principales en este Mundial.
Frappart y la que será su compañera, Back, fueron las primeras mujeres de la historia en participar en un Mundial masculino al hacerlo como cuarta árbitra y asistente reserva, respectivamente, en el encuentro entre México y Polonia.
La francesa ha logrado infinidad de hitos para las mujeres en el fútbol masculino, al ser la primera en dirigir un partido de la Ligue 1 francesa en el año 2019, pitar una final de la Supercopa de Europa el mismo año, un encuentro oficial de selecciones (2020), un partido de la Champions (2020) o una final de la Copa de Francia. Su mayor hito de este año ha sido arbitrar el Juventus-Dinamo de Kiev y continúa imparable.
