Rusia iniciará ensayos clínicos de la vacuna Sputnik V en 40 mil personas
La próxima semana. Representantes del Centro Nacional de Investigación de Epidemiología y Microbiología (Gamaleya) esperan que la vacunación masiva inicie en setiembre. Además, pidieron “no politizar el problema”.
Esta mañana, en conferencia de prensa con periodistas de más de 40 países (La República entre ellos), autoridades del Centro Nacional de Investigación de Epidemiología y Microbiología (Gamaleya) anunciaron que en los próximos días iniciarán los ensayos clínicos masivos de la vacuna Sputnik V en unas 40 mil personas.
“Hemos preparado 40 mil personas para que participen del estudio que permita evaluar la eficiencia epidemiológica desde la otra semana en más de 45 centros médicos”, afirmó Alexander Gintsburg, Director del Gamaleya Research Institute of Epidemiology and Microbiology, y académico del Russian Academy of Sciences.
Además, explicó que, gracias a un decreto publicado por el Gobierno ruso, recibieron un estatus especial con condiciones preliminares del uso de la vacuna Sputnik V.
“El decreto no nos da independencia, nos da obligaciones y tendremos toda la información y el control estricto de los vacunados”, añadió.
