La desgarradora agonía de ‘Jenna’, la poni asesinada a golpes por un grupo adolescentes
Los rescatistas vieron morir al animal en sus brazos, luego de encontrarla con la cara hinchada y hematomas en todo su cuerpo.
Una poni conocida como ‘Jenna’ murió en el oeste de Dublín, en Irlanda, luego de ser maltratada por un grupo de adolescentes. Un hombre la vio caminando a duras penas entre los árboles, quejándose de dolor y con una evidente necesidad de ayuda.
Inmediatamente, el poblador se comunicó con la ONG ‘My Lovely Horse Rescue’, donde voluntarios acudieron a su llamado e intentaron localizar al animal malherido, pero la oscuridad de la noche les jugó una mala pasada y la búsqueda falló.
Durante el primer examen físico que se le realizó a ‘Jenna’, los veterinarios encontraron “bultos en todo su cuerpo” y su cara muy hinchada debido a los golpes que sufrió por desalmados adolescentes.
Los veterinarios le administraron antibióticos y analgésicos para sanar sus heridas, mientras que los voluntarios se turnaron para cuidarla durante las 24 horas del día. A la 1 de la madrugada, la poni comenzó a luchar para respirar.
“Ella se recostó y descansó. Teníamos una cama de paja para que ella pose su cabeza, pero simplemente murió justo frente a nosotros. Tenía solo unos tres años y no debería haber muerto”, sostuvo Marina.
Las autoridades de Irlanda esperan dar con el paradero los responsables para que paguen por lo que le hicieron a la pequeña ‘Jenna’.
