Esfuerzos en Vano: Campañas de Ahuyentamiento
Las autoridades municipales han implementado diversas estrategias para controlar la población de loros. «Después de las seis o siete de la tarde, ya no se puede tener una conversación tranquila en el patio debido al ruido constante de los loros», lamentó María del Valle Otero, concejala de Hilario Ascasubi, en declaraciones al sitio Bichos de Campo. Incluso los parques infantiles, como el del parque central, se encuentran cubiertos de excrementos, lo que afecta las actividades diarias de los niños.
Problemas en Eventos Locales
La situación ha llegado a afectar eventos locales como la Fiesta de la Cebolla, que debió cancelar su espectáculo musical debido a un apagón eléctrico causado por los loros. Esta incidencia subraya los desafíos que enfrenta la comunidad para mitigar el impacto de estas aves en la vida diaria.
Causas del Problema
Expertos atribuyen la proliferación de loros tricahue en Hilario Ascasubi a la destrucción de su hábitat natural y la fácil disponibilidad de alimentos en los campos cercanos. Sergio Zalba, biólogo entrevistado por el canal TN, explicó que estos loros, originarios de Argentina y Chile, han buscado refugio en áreas urbanas debido a la alteración de su entorno natural.
Perspectiva Futura
A pesar de los esfuerzos continuos desde 2018 por parte de las autoridades locales para controlar la población de loros, la adaptabilidad de estas aves ha frustrado todos los intentos hasta ahora. «Se acostumbran a todo», lamentó Valle Otero, reflejando la persistencia del desafío que enfrenta Hilario Ascasubi frente a esta invasión aviar.
