Torneo de Copa 2024-2025 se reinventa con ajustes cruciales
El Torneo de Copa se mantendrá en la próxima temporada 2024-2025, pero no sin importantes cambios que prometen revolucionar el panorama del fútbol nacional. La decisión de llevar adelante el torneo se tomó durante la reciente Asamblea de presidentes de los 12 clubes de la Primera División.
La principal modificación es que el Torneo de Copa se extenderá a lo largo de todo el año, desde el Apertura 2024 hasta el Clausura 2025. Esto representa un cambio significativo en comparación con las temporadas anteriores, donde el torneo solía disputarse en un periodo más concentrado.
Una de las innovaciones más destacadas es la inclusión de dos clubes de Linafa en el torneo, que se unirán a los 12 equipos de la Unafut y a los 8 mejores clasificados de la Liga de Ascenso. Esta medida busca ampliar la participación y la diversidad en el torneo, ofreciendo oportunidades a equipos de diferentes niveles y regiones.
Por último, se ha establecido un compromiso para dar más protagonismo a los futbolistas jóvenes nacidos entre 2004 y 2008. Cada club deberá cumplir con un requisito de 360 minutos de juego por partido, con un mínimo de cuatro jugadores de esta categoría. Aquellos que no cumplan con esta normativa enfrentarán sanciones, incluida la pérdida de puntos que podría resultar en la eliminación del torneo.
