La Fedefútbol anuncia a Edgar Rodríguez como el entrenador interino de la Selección Femenina
Rodríguez dio su lista de convocadas para los próximos dos partidos de la Sele.
Luego de que el pasado 24 de agosto se diera a conocer la noticia sobre la salida de Amelia Valverde como entrenadora de la Selección Nacional Femenina tras ocho años al mando, este jueves 14 de setiembre, trascendió quién será el nuevo técnico que dirija a la Sele en los siguientes partidos.
Según informó la Federación Costarricense de Fútbol (Fedefútbol), Edgar Rodríguez será el entrenador interino para los próximos encuentros que tienen las seleccionadas ante Haití y a San Cristóbal y Nieves, como parte de la eliminatoria rumbo a la Copa Oro del 2024.
“Contento con la oportunidad y agradecido primero con Dios y con el profe Claudio Vivas. Sé que son dos partidos como interino, pero sé el compromiso que representa portar este escudo“, comentó el timonel.
Asimismo, trascendió que tras la salida de Amelia, tanto Rodríguez como Patricia Aguilar se han encargado de los microciclos de trabajo de la muchachas.
“Con la profe Patricia hemos trabajado muy bien. Esta lista se basa en lo que hemos ido a observar en los partidos del torneo más las legionarias. Hay caras nuevas, pues es parte de un nuevo ciclo que debe comenzar y esperamos que hayamos elegido de la mejor manera y que las jugadoras demuestren por qué están en la Selección Mayor”, comentó el técnico.
Las convocadas por Rodríguez se concentrarán a partir de este domingo en el hotel del Proyecto Gol, entrenarán los días lunes y martes, y estarían viajando el miércoles hacia República Dominicana, donde enfrentará a Haití.
