¡Orgullo nacional! El paratenista tico José Pablo Gil Rodríguez debutó como entrenador en el US Open 2023
El costarricense formó parte del equipo de David Wagner, quien llegó hasta las semifinales en esta edición del US Open adaptado.
Hay noticias que son dignas de compartir y aplaudir, tal como lo es esta, ya que el tenista paralímpico costarricense José Pablo Gil Rodríguez debutó este año como entrenador durante el US Open 2023.
El nacional formó parte del equipo del paratenista estadounidense David Wagner, quien es el número cuatro del ranking mundial y quien en esta edición llegó hasta las semifinales del US Open adaptado.
Asimismo, el tico no desaprovechó la oportunidad para agradecerle a Wagner la oportunidad que le dio a pesar de que era su primera vez como entrenador.
“Gracias a David Wagner por esta oportunidad, por confiar en mi y en el conocimiento que tengo. Además, porque hemos hecho historia en el tenis de Costa Rica y la seguiremos haciendo.
Sí, fue la primera vez, pero no la última. Este tiempo en el que he sido parte de este equipo ha consolidado mi idea y mis ganas de trabajar más duro para poder estar en estos eventos, no solo como entrenador, si no también como jugador. Estoy decidido a trabajar más fuerte para mantenerme en este nivel, que es el más alto del deporte mundial”, concluyó Gil.
