Mujer invitó a comer a sus exsuegros y murieron una semana después por intoxicación de hongos venenosos
Erin Patterson es investigada por la policía luego de organizar una comida a la que asistieron cuatro personas y tres están muertas. La receta de la cena fueron hongos venenosos, aunque la mujer está en libertad.
La policía de Australia investiga a una mujer de 48 años que invitó a sus exsuegros, y a otras dos personas a comer a su casa, y tres de ellos murieron solo una semana después producto de la intoxicación por hongos venenosos.
El caso ha conmovido a todo el país, luego que se conociera que la anfitriona preparó hongos venenosos para la cena.
El 4 de agosto se confirmó la muerte de ambas mujeres y un día después la de Don Patterson. El único sobreviviente, hasta ahora, es Ian Wilkinson, quien sigue internado en la UCI.
La mujer fue detenida por la policía y su casa fue registrada, pero fue puesta en libertad luego que alegara inocencia y se mostrara devastada ante los medios de comunicación.
“Lo que puedo decirte… es que no puedo entender lo que está pasando”, añadió.
Los hijos de la mujer también participaron de la cena, sin embargo, comieron un plato diferente.
Mientras la policía investiga la procedencia de los hongos, que son relativamente común en aquella zona de Australia, se conoció que en 2022 el exesposo de Erin estuvo internado en la UCI por una infección estomacal.
