‘El país más seguro de América’: Bukele presume que cerró julio sin asesinatos en El Salvador
Según el presidente salvadoreño, su país cerró julio como el mes más seguro en toda su historia, mientras continúan las críticas a su política de juicios colectivos contra las maras.
Nayib Bukele, presidente de El Salvador, celebró por medio de su cuenta de Twitter los resultados positivos que obtuvo su gestión durante el mes de julio, con respecto a la tasa de homicidios. Según informó el mandatario, no se presentó ningún crimen de este tipo durante los últimos 31 días, cifra que significaría que este periodo fue el más seguro “en toda la historia” del país centroamericano.
El jefe de Estado afirmó que, al calcular los datos obtenidos en lo que va del año 2023, El Salvador pasó de ser el país más violento a “el país más seguro de América”.
El miércoles 23 de julio, el Congreso de El Salvador dispuso que los pandilleros sean procesados por la justicia de forma colectiva, con el objetivo de que alrededor de 900 reos enfrenten un mismo juicio.
Se ordena el «sometimiento de (varios) imputados a un solo proceso penal por su pertenencia a una misma estructura terrorista o agrupación ilícita y que hayan sido capturados dentro de la vigencia del régimen de excepción», desde marzo de 2022, se lee en el decreto aprobado.
