Niño muere por el mismo rayo que mató a su papá un mes antes
La familia de Grayson Boggs realizó una colecta para solventar los gastos del hospital en Texas, donde lo atendían por las lesiones causadas por el rayo.
La historia del niño que murió por el mismo rayo que aniquiló a su papá tres semanas antes, llamó la atención en Texas, Estados Unidos.
El 15 de mayo, Matthew y Grayson Boggs regresaban por la tarde a casa en Valley Mills, cuando al bajar del autobús en el que venían, de la nada un rayo cayó sobre el padre, quien sostenía de la mano al menor.
Matthew, de 34 años, no sobrevivió al impacto fulminante, pero el pequeño Grayson fue trasladado al Children’s Hospital de Temple, Boggs, en donde fue atendido por sus severas lesiones.
Medios locales entrevistaron a uno de los hermanos del pequeño Grayson y relató que cuando el rayo cayó sobre su padre y el niño, los zapatos de ambos salieron disparados y quedaron boca abajo. El padre le dijo a su pequeño hijo “Te quiero, colega” minutos antes de que lo fulminara el rayo.
“Estaba muy asustado. Le di la vuelta a Grayson y él estaba sonriendo, Pensé que solo estaban bromeando, pero cuando le di la vuelta a mi papá, la mitad de su cabeza estaba sangrando y su rostro ya estaba morado”, narró Elijah Boggs, de 11 años.

Los médicos mostraron preocupación por el corazón, pulmones y el posible daño renal que padecía el niño y lo conectaron a un respirador y presentaba convulsiones causadas por el rayo.
Durante varias semanas, la familia de Grayson reportó en redes sociales el progreso del niño, sin embargo, su salud no mejoraba y presentaba muerte cerebral.
Debido al inesperado incidente, la familia del niño organizó una colecta a través de Gofundme, para recaudar dinero que ayudara a solventar los gastos funerarios del papá de Grayson y los gastos médicos del menor.
El viernes 16 de junio, un mes después de la muerte de su papá, Grayson fue desconectado del respirador y murió, así lo decidió la propia familia.
De acuerdo con medios locales, esta es la cuarta muerte por un rayo que ocurre en Estados Unidos en 2023, las primeras dos ocurrieron en abril en los estados de Pensilvania y Florida.
