Reportan desaparición de sumergible que realiza viajes para ver el Titanic
Hasta el momento no se ha brindado información sobre la cantidad de personas que se encuentran en el sumergible.
Un submarino que es usado para llevar turistas a conocer los restos del Titanic en los fondos marinos del Océano Atlántico ha sido reportado como desparecido, informó la mañana de este lunes la BBC.
De acuerdo a la cadena inglesa, la Guardia Costera de Boston realiza en estos momentos una operación de búsqueda y rescate.
Hasta el momento no se ha brindado información sobre la cantidad de personas que se encuentran en el sumergible.
Los restos del crucero trasatlántico hundido en 1912 se encuentran ubicados a una distancia de 600 kilómetros de la costa de Newfoundland en Canadá y a unos 3 800 metros de profundidad.
Desde hace varios años, al menos una empresa ofrece servicios de visitas en submarinos a la zona del hundimiento del Titanic.
La tragedia del que fuera un coloso marino en su época provocó la muerte de más de 1 500 fallecidos y sus restos recién fueron localizados en 1985, 73 años después del hundimiento.
