El hecho ocurrió en Estados Unidos, luego que a Teresa Lazo le suministraran el veneno de una rana amazónica al cual le atribuyen propiedades curativas.
En Estados Unidos, una mujer murió tras acudir con un chamán para tratar su depresión postparto.
Según consigna TV Azteca, se trata de Teresa Lazo, una joven de 32 años que fue madre por primera vez y que producto de aquello, su salud mental comenzó a deteriorarse.
En medio de la desesperación por mejorar su condición, la mujer viajó a Los Ángeles y se contactó con un chamán, el cual le administró veneno proveniente de una peligrosa rana amazónica, la cual le ayudaría a mejorar su malestar.
Tras ingerir el veneno, Teresa comenzó a vomitar en repetidas ocasiones, lo cual fue notificado a su esposo mediante llamada telefónica, confirmando también su complejo estado de salud.
Dado que no había mejoras, fue trasladada a un hospital, sin embargo, fue demasiado tarde, pues el veneno ya había recorrido por su cuerpo y le provocó daño cerebral, el cual, terminó provocándole la muerte.
Tras estos hechos, la familia de Teresa impuso acciones legales contra el chamán y la autopsia reveló que la mujer murió envenenada con kambó, un veneno al que le atribuyen propiedades curativas contra la depresión y la ansiedad.
