Mamá estranguló a su hijo de 11 años y quiso «justificarlo» ante las autoridades

En Estados Unidos , la Policía sospecha que una mamá estranguló a su hijo de 11 años, según ella, para que él no padeciera las dificultades financieras de la familia. El menor, identificado como Matthew Whitehead, fue asfixiado en su propia casa mientras dormía.
La señalada de este crimen es Ruth DiRienzo-Whitehead, una mujer de 50 años que está bajo custodia. Durante un interrogatorio, dijo que Matthew había estado “llorando todo el día” por los problemas económicos, que si bien no le competían a él, sí estaban afectado al hogar.
Según las autoridades, Ruth estranguló a su hijo porque no quería que él creciera con estas luchas. Para tal fin, usó el cinturón de su esposo.
Fue precisamente el padre del niño quien se comunicó con el 911 al notar que la puerta del dormitorio principal estaba con llave y que en el garaje de la casa no estaba el auto familiar. Al llegar al sitio, los agentes hallaron la macabra escena.
Reseña el diario People que Matthew tenía marcas de ataduras alrededor del cuello y otros signos determinantes para los médicos forenses.
