Niña víctima de racismo en kínder de Aserrí pide corte de cabello para sentirse aceptada
Desde el incidente que sufrió el lunes anterior, la pequeña de cinco años no ha regresado a clases y se encuentra afectada emocionalmente.
Lo que se suponía era un día inolvidable para muchos estudiantes, el inicio del curso lectivo 2023 el pasado lunes 6 de febrero, se convirtió en una pesadilla para una pequeña afrodescendiente de tan solo cinco años quien fue víctima de un aparente acto de racismo en la Escuela Manuel Hidalgo Mora, ubicada en Aserrí, San José.
De acuerdo con la madre de la menor, Denisha MacDougall, la niña tuvo que escuchar un discurso racista en su primer día de clases por parte de la profesora Vivian Madrigal Mora durante el acto cívico de inauguración del nuevo año escolar.
“Por favor no traigan a sus hijos con rastas (sic) ni dreads, aquí no estamos en Limón es Aserrí, ni mucho menos traigan a sus hijas con el poco de cosas en el pelo”, relató MacDougall al medio AmeliaRueda.com.
Según informó CRhoy.com este jueves, la pequeña está muy afectada emocionalmente, no ha regresado al kínder y además buscó una solución para encajar y regresar a clases: solicitó un corte de cabello.
“Muy mal, muy mal (refiriéndose al estado emocional de la niña) porque ella es una niña de cinco años muy receptiva, ha indicado que no quiere peinarse, está indicado que no quiere que le pongan trenzas,que no quiere que le pongan los accesorios que culturalmente se le usan, inclusive que mejor se corta el pelo, o sea, la niña ha caído en un estado en que casi que está tratando de renunciar a su propia cultura para encajar”, detalló a CRHoy.com Esteban Martínez, abogado de la familia.
De acuerdo con el defensor la pequeña no ha querido regresar al kínder.
“Nosotros no queremos la disculpa pública en sentido de que ¿ya para qué?, o sea, la disculpa pública no arregla absolutamente nada, pasaron a una persona que tiene conceptos racistas en su cabeza de escuela, solamente es trasladar el problema de una escuela a otra donde puede haber niños afrodescendientes que se pueden ver vinculados con esta persona, o sea no hay ninguna solución”, comentó Martínez.
“Lo que sintió la tía fue la completa indignación, porque eso no era un hecho reciente, o sea, ya desde el año pasado la niña estaba sufriendo bullying por utilizar sus peinados culturales y los profesores y las profesoras no hacían absolutamente nada para evitar el bullying”, agregó el abogado.
Martínez indicó que la niña lucía un peinado normal, no llevaba trenzas o accesorios, lo único es que pese a estar recogido, se nota la textura crespa de su cabello, como es natural.
La familia de la menor solicitará al Ministerio de Educación Pública (MEP) que se le incluya en el proceso de investigación que se abrió en contra de la docente; además, iniciarán un proceso ante el Tribunal Contencioso Administrativo en contra del Estado. También descartó por completo cambiarla de centro educativo; sin embargo, no saben cuando la niña estará en condiciones para volver a lecciones.
Mientras tanto el MEP reubicó a la educadora sin detallar en qué centro educativo se encuentra actualmente, mientras que se desarrolla la investigación pertinente.
