“Es algo muy positivo que él pueda seguir en la selección”: Keylor Navas sobre el profesor Suárez
El portero asegura que Luis Fernando Suárez aún tiene “muchísimo que aportar” a la Tricolor.
El guardameta costarricense, Keylor Navas, respalda la gestión del entrenador Luis Fernando Suárez al frente de la Tricolor.
Así lo hizo saber conocer tras concluir el encuentro entre la Selección Nacional de Costa Rica y su similar de Alemania el jueves anterior, y que finalizó con un marcador de 4-2 a favor de los teutones.
Navas fue consultado por un grupo de periodistas al finalizar el partido, uno de ellos le preguntó sobre su opinión acerca de mantener para la próxima Copa del Mundo al técnico cafetero y continuar con el proceso.
“No hemos ni terminado el Mundial y ya quieren echar al entrenador… es increíble”, contestó visiblemente molesto el arquero nacional.
“A mí me parece muy bien continuar con él porque yo creo que los procesos, por ejemplo, para este Mundial tenemos que ser realistas de que nos costó mucho clasificar hicimos una segunda vuelta increíble que nadie esperaba y lo logramos y yo creo que mucho de eso tenemos culpa los jugadores, pero también que hubo muchos cambios de entrenador y se pierden procesos, se pierde tiempo, se pierden formas de jugar, muchas cosas”, agregó Navas.
El portero del París Saint Germain (PSG) está a gusto con el trabajo del profesor Suárez y aseguró que el colombiano aún tiene “muchísimo que aportar” a la Tricolor.
“Yo creo que cuando se mantiene un entrenador que el profe ya conoce el equipo, ya conoce como funciona Costa Rica. También cuando llega un extranjero tiene que aprender a conocer la cultura costarricense y yo creo que es algo muy positivo que él pueda seguir en la selección y pueda seguir con nosotros porque tiene muchísimo que aportar”, finalizó Navas.
La Selección Nacional de Costa Rica cosechó tres puntos de nueve posibles, con dos derrotas, ante España y Alemania, y una victoria, ante Japón.
La Tricolor se ubica en el puesto 27 de 32 selecciones que participan en el Mundial de Qatar 2022.
